In the city of Charleroi, in the north of Brussels, Japanese botanic artist Azuma Makoto installed a suspended bonsai with steel wires, in an abandoned power station. This station was built in 1921 and have worked until 2007 ; since, this tower is often visited by a few explorers and photographers. Azuma wanted to bring life back to this desert place with bonsais through a sculpture called The Abandoned Power Plant. Each bonsais is carefully taken off its earth to be photographed and then put back where it belongs.
